Hey guys! It’s been a while since my last blog post, but I’m excited to be back and share my experiences with all of you. Initially, my blog covered my travels, people, and celebrations and whatever felt interesting to me. Now, I aim to focus on equestrian, canines, and aspects that align with my lifestyle. My photography journey began in 2011 when I considered majoring in it at Mississippi State University. However, I regretted not pursuing it further until I took a photography class at Palm Beach State College. If only I had followed my instincts, I might have started my photography career sooner rather than later. When you’re truly passionate about something, I guess life really has a way of catching up with you.
Residing in Wellington, Florida, it’s challenging to not immerse oneself in the equestrian world, especially as a local. The sunshine state boasts exceptional riders across various equine disciplines, from WEF to the Global Adequan Dressage Festival and the National Polo Center. These venues offer fantastic opportunities to capture the beauty and artistry through stunning images and videos. About a year ago, I made a conscious decision to pursue photography seriously and invested in my own camera (a Canon, to be precise). My goal is to bring a fresh and distinctive perspective to capturing these enchanting creatures and showcase my unique vision. I’ve always disliked the monotony of a 9-5 office job staring at a screen, so instead, why not step outside and capture exquisite pictures and videos.
After graduating from college in 2017, I worked in sponsor relations for Equestrian Sport Productions at WEF and the Adequan Global Dressage festival. I gained valuable insights from my colleagues and by observing riders, spectators, and vendors. In 2020, I transitioned to working for the family business in the construction sector, where I managed their social media accounts and delved into accounting, bookkeeping, and cost estimation.
While I am currently employed in the business sector, my true passion lies in photography. As I navigate through my marketing business, I aim to attract clients through my blog and upcoming travel opportunities. Continuously seeking growth, I am dedicated to enhancing my photography skills. I am appreciative of my time working at Equestrian Sport Productions and the enriching experiences I gathered at various events like WEF, the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, the International Polo Center (now National Polo Center), and the Colorado Horse Park amongst other sister properties. The connections made, lessons learned, and adventures experienced in this distinct environment have significantly influenced the person I have become today. I owe much of my journey to these invaluable experiences.
I can’t wait to spill the beans on my top pics and upcoming blogs! Just a heads-up, all the snapshots on this blog are fresh out of the oven from my brand-new camera debut!
