Back in April 2024, I had the absolute joy of attending one of the most breathtaking horse shows in the world: the Longines Global Champions Tour in Miami Beach. Set right on the white sands of the Atlantic coast, this show truly redefines what it means to be an equestrian destination.

Picture this: ocean waves rolling in behind world-class horses and Olympic-level riders soaring over fences, all under the Miami sun. You could be in flip-flops or formalwear—either way, you’re welcome ringside. The best part? General admission is free. That’s right—you can grab a coffee, walk along the beach, and just happen upon top-tier equestrian sport.

I stayed two nights and spent every morning with my camera in hand, capturing golden light, galloping hooves, and the magic that happens when sport meets scenery. The show featured premium vendor tents, open-air bars, and VIP tables for those looking to elevate their experience (I might just bring a group next year!).

It was a three-day event, from April 14–16, 2024, drawing elite riders from across the U.S. and around the globe. I even met Michael Duffy’s groom the first night—before Duffy went on to win the Grand Prix! A serendipitous brush with greatness, to say the least.
